Welcome!

Who?
A group of like-minded Temple members who get together on a regular basis to share a meal and camaraderie. The number of members usually depends on the space the various members have, as meetings are held in one another's homes.

What?
We have a Havurah that is strictly social; one that likes to discuss things of Jewish interest, another that has a variety of activities. Some Havurah share holiday meals and celebrations together.

Why?
Havurah is just one more way the friendly members of Temple Emanu-El get to know each other better, forming an even closer relationship. Havurah also provides a group with which to participate in Temple activities and special events. Most Havurah eventually become somewhat like extended family, enjoying good times together and supporting one another in sad times.

When?
Whenever a group of like-minded congregants want to form a closer link. We are looking forward to forming a singles group, a group of people with young families, and a group of 40-somethings.

How?
Contact Ivan Goldberg & Janet Perry at (941) 923-3242. They are coordinating the Havurah development at Temple Emanu-El.
